English Draughts
The classic American game — men capture forward only — on a 128-wide NNUE.
NNUE neural network MMC Solo Dev
The engine
The evaluation is an NNUE neural network — 128 hidden units over 128 input features — written in C and compiled straight into the app. It is trained from self-play by a Go trainer, quantised to 16-bit integers, and evaluated incrementally so the search can afford to call it at every node.
The rules of this variant
English draughts — American checkers — is the most restrictive of the family. Men move and capture forwards only, and kings step one square at a time rather than flying. Capturing is mandatory, but you may choose which capture to play.
